20 Setting up the TV Stand . 1. Insert the bottom se ction of the stand into the base and insert the screw into the b ase ( A ). 2. Connect the to p sect ion of the stand to the bottom section ( B ). 3. Slide the TV supp ort strut into the stand as shown ( C ) until the button pops into th e slot ( D ).
21 Connecting to an An tenna/Cable TV 1. Connect one e nd of the VHF/UHF (Antenna) or CA TV cable to ANT Jack (VHF/UHF IN Jack) on the back of the TV . 2. Connect the other end of the VHF/UHF (Antenna) or CA TV cable to the Antenna socket or CA TV cable.
22 Connecting to A V De vices Connect external devices such as VCD/DVD players or VCRs to the TV using the A V1 and A V2 port s on the back of the TV . Connecting to a VCR, VCD or DVD Player The illustration presented here shows how to connect your TV to a VCR, VCD or DVD player .
23 Connecting to a Video Camera The illustration presented here shows how to connect your TV to a camcorder or other type of digit al camera. Actual connections vary according to the make and model o f the device. Note The cables are co lor-coded (black, red, white, yellow).
24 Connecting Exter nal Speak ers and Headphones Headphones or externa l speakers may be used to listen to the TV instead of the built-in speakers. Connect your h eadphones to the speaker/head phone line out port as illustrated. Notes • External speakers or headphones are not included with the product.
25 Connecting the P ower Adapter 1. Connect the p ower cord to the power adapter as illustrated. 2. Plug the power adapter connector into the DC-IN on the rear panel of the TV . 3. Insert the thre e-pronged plug at the other en d of the power cord into a power outlet.
26 Using the R emote Control For best results, use the remote control within a dist ance of 5 meters from the front of the TV’ s signal sensor . Do not exceed an angle of 3 0 degrees when pointing at the signa l sensor . Refer to the following illustration.
27 T ur ning the TV On and Off 1. Press the POWE R button; the power indicator LED turns of f, indicating that the power has been turned on. 2. Press the POWE R button again; the power indicator LED shows red, indi - cating the TV is in st andby (off) mode.
28 Switching Source Signals Press the SOURCE button on the remote control or the SOURCE button on the control p anel to select the incoming source signal. The current source setting CH xx appears on the top lef t corner of the screen, A V1 or A V 2 appears on the bottom right corner of the screen.
29 The On-Screen Display (OSD) menu system provides a quick a nd simple method to adjust your TV’ s settings. This chapter describes how to change each of the available settin gs. The OSD can be used with either the remote contro l or the front con- trol panel.
30 Brightness 1. Press MENU to enter the OSD menus. 2. Press the CH UP or CH DOW N button to select Brightness. 3. Press MENU . The brightness slide bar is highlighted. 4. Press the CH UP button to increase the brightness. 5. Press the CH DOWN button to decrease the brightness.

33 Hue 1. Press the CH DOWN or CH UP button to select Hue. 2. Press MENU to enter the Hue sub - menu. 3. Press the CH UP button to increase green and decrease red. 4. Press the CH DOWN button to decrease green and increase red. 5. Press MENU to confirm the setting and return to the V ideo Setting menu.
34 Saturation 1. Press the CH DOWN or CH UP button to select Saturation. 2. Press MENU to enter the Saturation submenu. 3. Press the CH UP button to increase the saturation. 4. Press the CH DOWN button to decrease the saturation. 5. Press MENU to confirm the setting and return to the V ideo Setting menu.
35 Sharpness 1. Press the CH DOWN or CH UP button to select Sharpness. 2. Press MENU to enter the SHARP - NESS submenu. 3. Press the CH UP button to increase the sharpness. 4. Press the CH DOWN button to decrease the sharpness. 5. Press MENU to confirm the setting and return to the V ideo Setting menu.
36 Color T emperature 1. Press the CH DOWN or CH U P but - ton to select Color T emp. 2. Press MENU to enter the Color T em - perature submenu. There are three default color temperatures to c hoo se from. St andard Co lor Press the CH DOWN or CH UP button t o select St anda rd, then press MENU .
37 Audio Setting Press the MENU button to enter OSD Main Menu screen. 1. Press the CH DOWN or CH UP button to select Audio Setting. 2. Press MENU to enter the Audio Setting menu.

40 Balance 1. Press the CH DOWN or CH UP but t on to select Balance. 2. Press MENU to enter the Balance submenu. 3. Press the CH DOWN button to shift the balance to the lef t speaker . 4. Press the CH UP button to shift the balance to the right speaker .
41 Mute 1. Press the CH DOWN or CH U P but - ton to select Mute. 2. Press MENU to enter the Mute sub - menu. 3. Press the CH UP button to turn t he mute off. 4. Press the CH DOWN button to turn the mute on. 5. Press MENU to confirm the setting and return to the Audio Setting menu.

50 Language 1. Press the CH DOWN button o r CH UP button to select Language. 2. Press MENU to enter the Language submenu. 3. The screen displays the available OSD languages: English and T -Chinese (Tradition al Chinese). 4. Press the CH DOWN button o r CH UP button to select a language.
51 Sleep Timer The sleep timer turns the TV of f automatically after a set pe riod of time. 1. Press the CH DOWN button o r CH U P button to select Sleeper . 2. Press MENU to enter the Sleeper submenu. 3. The screen displays the available sleep timer setting: Of f, 30, 60, 90, and 120 minutes.
52 OSD Display This setting allows you to set th e amount of information that appears on the LCD screen when the DISPLA Y button is pressed. Y ou can choose from three settings: Of f, Portion, or All. 1. Press the CH D OWN button o r CH UP button to select OSD Display .
53 Time Setting This section shows you how to change your TV’ s clock setting. 1. Press the CH DOW N button o r CH UP button to select T ime Setting. 2. Press MENU to enter the Ti me Set- ting submenu. 3. The screen displays th e current set- ting. The hour is highlighted in yellow .
54 Re se t The Reset function returns all of your TV’ s user settings to their fac- tory defaults. W arning: The reset function erases all of yo ur custom and favorite channel set- tings, and will reset all display settings (such as cont rast, brightness, etc.
55 T urn the power off b efore you begin cleaning the TV. Use a clean lens cloth to remove dust and finger- prints from the screen. Do not wipe the shell of the TV with alcohol, methanol, gasoline or oil products to avoid the damaging the finish. Wipe the shell with a dry soft cloth a nd use neutral cleaning fluids.
