22 Connecting to an Antenna or Cable TV 1 Connect one end of the UHF or CA TV cable to the ANT Jack (VHF/UHF IN Jack) on the back o f the TV . 2 Connect the other en d of the VHF/ UHF (Antenna) or CA TV cable to the antenna socket or CA TV cable.
23 Connecting to A V Devices Connect external devices such as a VCR, VCD or DVD playe r , or video game to the TV using the 4-IN-1 cable. Connecting to a V CR/VCD/DVD Player The illustration presented here shows how to connect the TV to a VCR and VCD or DVD player .
24 Connecting to a Video Camera The instructions presented here are a general guide to connecting the TV to a camcorder or other type of digita l camera. 25 Connecting to a Game Device The instructions presented here are a general guide to connecting the TV to a game device using t he RCA Jacks provided (some game devices may require a unique ada pter that is not provided). Actual connections may vary according to the make and model of the game device.
26 Connecting Exter nal Speak er s or Headphones External speakers or head phones may be used to listen to the TV rather than using the built-in speakers. Connect extern al speakers or headphones to the headphone line out p ort as illustrated. Notes • External speakers or headphones are not included with the product.
27 Connecting the P ow er Adapter 1 Connect the power cord to the power adapter as illustrated. 2 Plug the power adapter connector in to the DC-IN input jack on the rear panel of the TV . 3 Insert the three-pronged plug at the other end of the power cord into a powe r outlet.
28 Using the Remote Co ntr ol For best results, use the remote co ntrol within a dist ance of 5 meters from the front of the TV’ s signal sensor . Do not exceed an an gle of 30 degrees when pointing at the signa l sensor . Refer to the following illustration.
29 T ur ning the TV On and Off 1 Press the POWER button on the remote control (or control panel). The power LED on the front of the TV changes from dark to green, indicating that the power has been turned on. 2 Press the POWER button again; the power LED changes from green to dark, indicating that the TV is in of f mode.
30 Switching Source Sigals Press SOURCE on the remote control or control p anel to select the incoming source signal. The current source setting (TV/CA TV , S-Video, or A V) appears on the top lef t corner of the screen. Note The TV supports S-V ideo inpu t in addition to normal video and audi o signals.
31 The On-Screen Display (OSD) menu system provides a quick a nd simple method to adjust your TV’ s settings. This chapter describes how to change each of the available settin gs. The OSD can be used with either the remote contro l or the front con- trol panel.

35 Hue 1 Press the CH UP bu tton or CH DOWN button to select Hue. 2 Press MENU to enter the Hue menu. 3 Press the CH UP button to increase the hue towards the red spectrum. The image becomes more red. 4 Press the CH DOWN button to decrease the hue towards the green spectrum.
36 Saturation 1 Press the CH UP bu tton or CH DOWN button to selec t Saturation. 2 Press MENU to enter the Saturation menu. 3 Press the CH UP button to increase the saturation. The screen image becomes more vibrant. 4 Press the CH DOWN button to decrease the saturation.
37 Sharpness 1 Press the CH UP bu tton or CH DOWN button to select Sharpness. 2 Press MENU to enter the Sharpness menu. 3 Press the CH UP button to increase the sharpness. 4 Press the CH DOWN button to decrease the sharpn ess. 5 Press MENU again to confirm the setting and return to the Video Set - ting menu.
38 Color T emperature 1 Press the CH UP bu tton or CH DOWN button to select Color . 2 Press MENU to enter the Color menu. The following three color temperatures are available. St andard Color P r es s the CH UP button or CH DOWN bu t t o n to select S tandard, then press MENU .
39 Audio Setting Press the MENU butt on to enter the OSD menus. 1 Press the CH UP button or CH DOWN button to select Audio Setting. 2 Press MENU t o enter the Audio Setting menu.
40 Tr e b l e 1 Press the CH UP bu tton or CH DOWN button to select T reble. 2 Press MENU to enter the T reble menu. 3 Press the CH UP button to increase the treble. 4 Press the CH DOWN button to decrease the treble. 5 Press MENU to confirm the setting and return to the Audio Setting menu.
41 Bass 1 Press the CH UP bu tton or CH DOWN button to select Bass. 2 Press MENU to enter the Bass menu. 3 Press the CH UP button to increase the bass. 4 Press the CH DOWN button to decrease the bass. 5 Press MENU to confirm the setting and return to the Audio Setting menu.
42 Balance 1 Press the CH UP bu tton or CH DOWN button to select Balance. 2 Press MENU to enter the Balance menu. 3 Press the CH DOWN button to shift the balance to the left speaker . 4 Press the CH UP button to shift the balance to the right speaker .

46 Auto Program 1 Press the CH UP bu tton or CH DOWN button to select Auto Program. 2 Press MENU to enter the Auto Pro - gram menu. 3 Press the CH UP bu tton or CH DOWN button to select Y es or No.
47 Manual Program This function allows you to locate cha nnels for adding to or erasing from preset channels. 1 Press the CH UP bu tton or CH DOWN button to select Manual Program. 2 Press MENU to enter the Manual Program menu. 3 Press the CH UP bu tton or CH DOWN button to find the channel you want to add.
48 Channel Add/Erase 1 Press the CH UP bu tton or CH DOWN button to select CH. Add/Erase. 2 Press MENU to enter the CH. Add/Erase menu. Select one of the following options. Add Channel 1 Press the CH UP bu tton to select Add. 2 Press the MENU to add the selected channel.
49 Miscellaneous Setting Press the MENU butt on to enter the OSD menus. 1 Press the CH UP button or CH DOWN button to select Miscellaneous. 2 Press MENU to enter the Mis- cellaneous menu.
50 OSD Position 1 Press the CH UP button or CH DOWN button to select OSD Position. 2 Press MENU to enter the OSD Position menu. The following options are available. Horizont al Position 1 Press the CH UP button or CH DOWN button to select H. Position.
51 Language 1 Press the CH UP bu tton or CH DOWN button to select Language. 2 Press MENU to enter the Language menu. The screen displays the available OSD languages: English and T -Chinese (Traditional Chinese). 3 Press the CH UP bu tton or CH DOWN button to select a language.
52 Sleep Timer The sleep timer turns the TV of f automatically after a set pe riod of time. 1 Press the CH UP bu tton or CH DOWN button to select Sleep.
53 OSD Display This setting allows you to set whether info rmation such as the selected channel is shown on the T V screen when the DISPLA Y button is pressed. 1 Press the CH UP bu tton or CH DOWN button to select OSD Display . 2 Press MENU to enter the OSD Display menu.
54 Reset The Reset function returns all of your TV’ s user settings to their fac- tory defaults. Wa r ni n g : The reset fun ction will erase all of your cust om and favorite channel settings, and will reset all displa y settings (such as contrast, bright- ness, etc.
55 T urn the power off b efore you begin cleaning the TV. For best results, use a clean lens cloth to remove dust and fingerprint s from the screen. Do not wipe the shell of the TV with alcohol, methanol, gasoline or oil products to avoid dam- aging the finish.
