About the 67710E Coffee Urn General Description This coffee urn has been engineered to suit the special needs of the prison environment. This section highlights the characteristics and special features of the product. The urn is a large capacity , high-speed, cof fee brewing and holding unit.

Be careful not to scratch the stainless steel with any tools. Unwrap any plastic wrapped items. Open both liner covers and remove materials inside the liners.
American Met al W are 67710E Coffee Urn Page 8 It is a 3/8 Female NPT connection. See the rough-in drawing for details on location. Y ou may wish to install a water line filter to inhibit lime deposits especially if your area has particularly hard water .

This section describes the brew process from start to finish. Before brewing the first batch of cof fee, follow the procedure outlined here to brew an initial batch of water only into each liner .
Page 1 1 American Met al W are 67710E Coffee Urn • • Af ter the Brew is Finished When the brew cycle has automatically shut off, you should have ten gallons of cof fee. The level will be higher in the liner if you brew with no grounds. If the level is not correct, see the Adjustment section.
American Met al W are 67710E Coffee Urn Page 12 Adjustment s Byp ass Adjustment See figure 4. Each liner has an independent bypass which is adjust able. The Bypass valve controls the ratio of water sprayed over the grounds to the water poured directly into the liner -bypassing the grounds.

When a start switch is pressed, the timer sends power to the pump through the normally open contact.

If the urn does not refill as fast as it uses water during a brew cycle, you may adjust the fill rate.
