Hardware Installation - 14 - B. Follow the steps below to correctly install the CPU into the motherboard CPU socket. Step 1: Completely lift up the CPU socket locking lever . Step 2: Align the CPU pin one (small triangle markin g) with the triangle mark on the CPU socket and gently insert the CPU into the socket.

- 23 - Hardware Installation 3/4) CPU_F AN/SYS_F AN (Fan Headers) The motherboard has a 4-pin CPU fan header (CPU_FAN) and a 3-pin (SYS_F AN) system fan headers. Most fan headers possess a foolproof insertion design. When connecting a fan cable, be sure to connect it in the correct orientation (the black connector wire is the ground wire).
