HOW TO SORT CLOTHES Sort by Surface Texture Separate LINT PRODUCERS—such as terry toweling and chenille—give up lint. LINT COLLECTORS—such as man-made fibers and napped fabrics like velveteen and corduroy—attract lint. These must be washed separately.
