These wizards list the data an d setpoints of power m anagem ent devices in a tabular f ormat .
3 Conventions You w ill find this book eas y to u se if you look f or these simple con ventions : • Boldface type in dicates the nam e of an item you need to select. • Monospace type in dicates an example or tex t that is displayed on th e screen.
4 PMCS Interface Toolkit From the InTouch Configurat ion menu, sele ct Install Wiza rds . The Wizard Installation dialog displays two list boxes, show ing the currently installed w izards and the w izards available for ins tallation. Select the desired w izards from the bottom box and click Install .

6 PMCS Interface Toolkit Small Faceplate Wizards Usage The Small Faceplate w izards are icon-sized g r aphics ty pically used to create accu rate elevation v iew s and one-line diag rams . T hese w izards are provided with logic to open anothe r wi ndow, ty pically either a Larg e Faceplate or Tabular Data Screen w izard.

8 PMCS Interface Toolkit Large Faceplate Wizards Usage Large Faceplate w izards are three-dim ensional represen tations of device faceplates that can be us ed to display data from the device. These three-dim ensional w izards include exten sive logic that provides an accurate reproduction of the actu al display and key s of the device.
9 Configurati on Place the Large Faceplate w izard into an open w indow , then double-click on it to display th e Large Faceplate Dialog box. Conf igure the w izard by entering the appropriate inform ation into each of th e boxes. The figu re show n below is the dialog for a typical w izard.
10 PMCS Interface Toolkit Also, the A p plication Name field m ust be completed as ION_LINK rather than GE32MODB or GE32MTCP for t he EPM7700 device. The ION LIN K program is i n s t alled d u ri n g i n itial P M C S 6.11 a s et u p if t h e E P M7700 s o f t w are option is s elected.
11 Tabular Data Scr een Wizards Usage Tabular Data Screen w izards contain organ ized, comprehensiv e, tabular layouts of device parameters inclu d ing additional configu r ation and rem ote control features. Depending on the device, th ere may be m ultiple file-tabs beneath th e tab ular data sectio n.
12 PMCS Interface Toolkit Enter the unique eight- character name matching the appropriate Topic i n the PMCS DDE Server. Use the Group Name field to logi cally group devices, if desired. Enter the name of the group to whic h the device belongs . Enter the application name of the PMCS DDE Server (GE32MODB or GE32MTCP).

14 PMCS Interface Toolkit Data Dialog box has an extra field f or indicating w hen the RRTD optio n is installed. Be sure to s elect the correct RRTD option w hen com pleting th e 369's Tabular Data Dialo g window. If you ar e not planni ng to use a n RRTD module with your r elay, select the "No" button.
15 Universal Relay The Universal Relay device comes in several differen t models, and each m odel supports dif ferent capabilities, w hich are reflected by the various tabs available f or each m odel. W hen conf iguring a Univers al Relay device, y ou first select the UR Model, then choose w hich tabs will be displayed f o r the particular device.
16 PMCS Interface Toolkit One-Line Wiz ards Usage You can us e one-line w izards to create animated one- line diagrams th at represent an electrical schem atic of the devices m onitored by the s o ftw are. These wizards are provided w ith logic t o either open another w indow or di splay device s tatus.
17 • Circuit Breaker w izards have tw o discrete color-chan ge animations for On/Off status display an d one analog anim ation for a five-s tate display (Open, Closed, Out, Trip, and Error conditions). • Lockout/Tagout sym bols have discrete visibility anim atio ns for various tags.

These w izards are not associated w ith any logic or anim ation, but are provided to create m ore visually accurate screens and representations of equipmen t.
23 Floor Pl an Wizar ds Usage Floor Plan w izards are graphical elemen ts that are useful for creating accurate representations of a facility layout. You can u se a floor layout as an overview display of an en tire plant, w ith animated areas f or navigation to variou s switchg ear elevation view s or one-line diagram s.
24 PMCS Interface Toolkit Toolbar Wi zar d Usage The To olbar wizard is a nav igational tool which allow s the user to move betw een recently -used or frequ ently -used w indows , and provides a clock for qu ick reference.
25 A nnuncia tor Panel Wi zard Usage The Annunciato r P anel wizar d pr ovid es an ind ustria l-style annunci ator disp lay pane l, consis ting of a b ank o f 48 ind ica tor l ights which change colo rs and bli nk to ind icat e various device conditions.
26 PMCS Interface Toolkit From th e Event Logger’ s perspective, there are tw o parts to configuring the Annunciator Panel. Fir st, each DDE Item that w ill b e displayed on the Annunciator Panel w izard mu st be added (using the Add Item s dialog).

31 Enter the text to display o n any of the three lines available for the selected button. It is not necessary to enter text on all three lin es. Click OK when y ou have finish ed assigning tex t lab els to the button.
32 PMCS Interface Toolkit Two steps remain after th e wizard has been configured. First, InTouch DDE Integer tag s m ust be created for the DDE item s configured in the Event L o gger correspon ding to the Alarm Panels. Make sure th e DDE Item nam es created in InTouch m atch the DDE Item n ames config ured in Event Log ger.

35 Custom Table Wiz ard Usage The Tab ular Data Screen w izards provide the ability to view extensive device data in tabular form . Howev er, they do not allow you to select the data to view - you m ust view all the data presented and locate the particu lar data points you are in terested in.
36 PMCS Interface Toolkit Begi n configur ing the Cust om Ta ble by comple ting the fo llo wing fields: Field Descriptio n Device Name Enter th e name of the device (t opic). Must exactly match the to pic name at th e DDE Server. DDE Server Name Enter the name of the PMCS DDE Server.
37 EPM 7700 Users Onl y: When the EPM 7700 device ty pe is selected, an additional field appears in the Custom T able Dialog box, adjacent to the Dev ice Name (show n below ).

40 PMCS Interface Toolkit Sy stem Statistics Wizard Usage The System Statistics wizard is an inform atio nal tool wh ich allows the user to vi ew detailed statistics about the system , including port inform atio n from the DDE Server and disk inform atio n.
41 The System Statistics w izard requires a nam e itself, and also the n ame of a DDE Server to access. By defau lt, the System Statistics wizard ass um es that the DDE Server is located locally an d is named GE32MODB.
42 PMCS Interface Toolkit Lockout/Tagout Wiz ard Usage The Locko ut/T ago ut pro vide s a metho d for assigning d anger or gr ound tag gra phic s to variou s one-line di agrams or w izards.

48 PMCS Interface Toolkit Special Scripting Considerations for the EPM 7700 This section describes the special InT ouch scripting w hich is required for the EPM 7700 device’s Large Faceplate, Tabular Data Screen, an d Custom T abular w izards. The EPM 7700 is a pow erful and h ighly flexible dev ice, supporting hundre ds o f discrete data items.

55 Creating Floor Plans, Elevation Views, and One-Line Diagrams Introduction This chapter illustrates how to use the GE w izards described in Chapter 2 to create anim ated displays of the f acility floor plan, switchg ear elevations, and system one- line diagram s.

58 PMCS Interface Toolkit Electrical One-Line Diagrams One-line diag rams are bu ilt by placing an d linking circuit elem ents using the On e- Line w izards, then creating scripts to provide animation for those w izards w hose status can be determined or controlled, s uch as breakers an d sw itches.
