1 Base Station 1. Choose an area near an electrical outlet and a telephone wall jack (RJ11C), and place your telephone base on a lev el surface, such as a desktop or tabletop. . 14 Answering Syst em Setup This section shows you how to set up y our answering system to receiv e incoming calls. Before you begin the set up pr ocess, you must turn on the answering system. Answering Syst em ON/OFF When you rst plug in and activate y our phone, the answering system will be in the ON mode.
15 NO TE: If you choose not to record an outgoing announcement , a default announcement plays instead. To r eturn t o the default announcement after you have recor ded your own outgoing announcement , press the delete butt on while the announcement is reviewing.
16 Rings to Answer This feature lets y ou select the number of times you want the phone to ring before the answ ering system answers a call. 1. Press the menu button r epeatedly until you hear “Number of rings selected is 3,4,5,6 or TS” . The indicator displays nr .
17 Programming Y our Phone Main Menu The main menu on the handset provides easy access to most of your phone settings. 4 Answering Syst em Operation Listening t o Y our Messages When you have new messages, the indicator will ash. R ecorded messages and memos are r etained until you delete them. Y our Answering System has approximately 1 minutes of storage capacity (or 59 messages/memos).
5 T o delet e all old messages with the handset : 1. Press the Menu (SKL) button to access the Main menu. . Press the OK (SKL) button again to access the Answ er S ystem menu. . Use the or to scroll to Delete All Mess . 4. Press the OK (SKL) button.
6 Memory Full When the answering system memory is full, the system answers after 10 rings, beeps and waits for the -digit security code. If you don’t enter the security code within seconds , the phone hangs up. Y ou should erase some messages so the answering system can recor d new messages.
7 Handset Operation Making a Call Pre-Dialing: 1. Dial the telephone number . Use the Clear (SKR) button to delete any incorrect entries. OR Use the , , or mem button to select desired number , press the Mor e (SKL) and scroll to Use Number . . Press the /ash button.

Reviewing CID R ecords (In CID Memory) If you ar e not at home or cannot answer , your telephone’s Caller ID memory stores the data for the 0 most r ecent calls you receiv ed so you can see who called while you wer e unavailable. When the 1st call is receiv ed, the oldest Caller ID record (1st call) is automatically deleted.
Storing CID Records in Internal Memory Y ou may also store CID information in the phone’s internal memory. NO TE: It is important that you format CID records correctly BEFORE storing in internal memory as you cannot r eformat CID records stored in memory.
