3 Y our dishw asher cleans b y spra ying a mixture of hot water and detergent through the spra y ar ms against soiled surf aces . Each cycle begins with a pre-drain. Next, the dishw asher fills with water cov er ing the filter area. W ater is then pumped through the filter and spra y ar ms.

6 Dish Preparation Scrape a wa y large pieces of food, bones , pits, toothpicks , etc. The continuous filtered wash system will remov e remaining f ood par ticles. Bur ned-on foods should be loosened bef ore loading. Empty liquids from glasses and cups.

8 Dishwasher Dispenser & Deter gents • Use only fresh automatic dishwashing detergent. Other detergents will cause oversudsing. • Add detergent just before starting cycle. • Store detergent in a cool, dry location. Moist or caked detergent will not dissolve properly.

10 Care and Cleaning Care of Drain Air Gap If a drain air gap was installed f or your b uilt-in dishwasher , check to make sure it is clean so the dishwasher will drain properly . A drain air gap is usually mounted on counter top and can be inspected by remo ving the cov er .
11 Connecting and Disconnecting the P or table/ Con ver tible Dishwasher The por tab le/conv er tible dishw asher must be connected to a f aucet and electr ical outlet each time it is used. Follow directions on this page to properly connect dishwasher .

13 Solutions to Common Dishwashing Pr oblems Glassware/Flatware Spotted or Cloudy • Chec k water hardness . F or extremely hard water , it may be necessary to install a water softener . (See Detergent Char t.) • W ater temperature ma y be low . A void e xtremely low or high temper atures.

15 Dishwasher Does Not Drain Pr operly • If unit is hooked up to a f ood waste disposer , make sure the disposer is empty . • Chec k to see if the knock out plug has been remov ed from inside the food w aste disposer inlet. • Chec k to see if drain hose is kinked.
