Recommendations • The manufacturer strongly recommends that sepa- rate permanent written records be kept of all impor- tant data. Data may be lost or altered in virtually any electronic memory product under certain circum- stances.
Using the Organizer for the First T ime The first time you use this organizer , you should per- form a system reset. W arning ! A system reset erases any user-entered information and clears all settings. 1. T urn the organizer over and carefully pull the battery insulation sheet to remove it.
✎ Auto-Shut Off When none of the keys have been pressed for approximately seven minutes, the organizer auto- matically turns the power of f to save the battery . Press ON/OFF to resume. The actual life of the battery depends on the usage. ✎ Keyboards ABC/123 at bottom right of screen controls the keyboards.
Several icons appear on the top row of the screen to indicate active modes. These are indicator icons only and perform no function when tapped. Note : on the top row indicate data in fields other than the one currently being viewed. T ap on the bottom right of the screen to view the other fields with data.

After a system reset, each time you press ON/OFF or tap , you see the Home T ime screen. on the top row indicates Home T ime. Y ou can perform the following functions in Home T ime. 1. T ap to go to W orld T ime. on the top row indicates W orld T ime.
8. T ap DA T A SYNC to start data synchronization with your PC. The PC sync is to be purchased separately . 9. T ap M.CHK to see the percent of available memory . 10. T ap to adjust the LCD contrast. 1 1. T ap LANG to go to the Language selection screen.
2. T ap EDIT . 3. Edit the year , day and month. Y ou can edit the year , day , month, city , hour and minute in that sequence. T ap ABC/123 at the bottom right of the screen to toggle between letter and number input. T ap to move the cursor in the indicated direction.

Setting the Daily Alarm When the set time is reached, the alarm sounds for 20 seconds. T ap any key other than to acti- vate the snooze function and stop the sound. When the snooze function is activated, the alarm sounds every eight minutes. T ap to stop the sound and de-activate the snooze function.
There are three telephone directories: Personal, Business 1 and Business 2. Each directory has 10 fields in which to enter data. Some of the fields have corresponding icons that are displayed on the top row of the screen.
Name is the first field. Y ou MUST enter a name if you want to save the record. 3. T ap to enter data in each successive field. Y ou need not enter data in every field. T ap to return to the previous field. T ap ABC/123 to toggle between the letter/number keyboards.
There are five fields in the Schedule: Start Date, Start T ime, End Date, End T ime, Message (Description). Y ou can set a Schedule alarm which sounds for 20 seconds. Y ou can enable/disable the alarm, and stop the sound at any time. T o enter a Schedule record, do the following: 1.
Y ou need not enter data in every field. T ap to return to the previous field. At the Start time field, tap to enable the Schedule alarm. on the top row indicates the Schedule alarm is activated. At the Start T ime and End T ime fields, tap AM/PM at bottom of screen to toggle between a.
There are four fields in the T odo book: Date Due, Message (description), Date Done and Priority . Y ou can set priority levels of one to three. T o enter a T odo record, do the following: 1. T ap . T ODO flashes on the screen briefly and you go to the Date Due field.
3. T ap to go to the Message field. Y ou can enter a maximum of 108 characters. Note : In the date and priority fields, only the num- ber keyboard is available. In the Message field, tap ABC/123 to toggle between the letter/number keyboards. T ap to return to the previous field.
Each Memo record consists of a Message field in which you can enter a maximum of 300 characters. T o enter a Memo do the following: 1.T ap . MEMO flashes briefly on the screen. 2. T ap A-Z or 0-9 to enter your data. T ap SYML to cycle through the list of available symbols.
Each Internet record has three fields: Message (description), Internet (address) and Note. Y ou can enter descriptions of your favorite websites, the addresses and a note. Y ou can enter a maximum of 108 characters in the Message and Note fields and 80 characters in the Internet field.
Phone, Memo and Internet records are sorted alpha- betically . Schedule and T odo records are sorted chronologically . Y ou can search for them either directly or sequentially . Y ou can review your records, edit them or delete them. Searching for a Record T ap the icon of the directory you want to search.
The field name is displayed briefly and then the data is displayed. Except for the email field, all other fields with no data are skipped. 3. T ap to scroll back and forth and view data beyond the screen limits. In a phone record, tap to go directly to the e- mail field.
Making a Calculation 1. T ap once. The numeric keypad appears. 2. T ap 0-9, . or +/- to enter the numbers you want. Y ou can enter a maximum of 10 characters . 3. T ap +, -, x or ÷ to perform an addition, subtrac- tion, multiplication or division. T ap to erase a character to the left of the cursor .
Or tap %(B) to calculate the percentage. 6. T ap C/CE on bottom left of screen to clear the calculations. Note : If there is an error or overflow , E is dis- played on the screen and you will not be able to do any further calculations. T ap C/CE to clear the error screen and return to the Calculator .
There are three converters: Metric, Currency and Euro. Doing Metric Conversions Use the Metric converter to do any of the eight built- in conversions. in conversions. 1. T ap twice to enter the Metric converter . METRIC flashes on the screen briefly and the first conversion screen appears.
Note the rate change on the right. 5. T ap 0-9 to enter the numbers you want. 6. T ap ENTER to do the conversion. Setting Currency Rates Once you set currency rates, you can do currency conversions. Y ou can set four currency rates. The default currency settings are USD USD and the default rate is 1.
5. T ap 0-9 and . to enter a rate. Y ou can enter a maximum of six numbers (five if using a .) for the rate. 6. T ap ENTER to save the setting. 7. T ap to go to the next conversion screen. Once you enter your currencies and rates, you can do currency conversions in the same way you do metric conversions.
1. T ap . EURO flashes on the screen briefly and the first conversion screen appears. 2. T ap or to find the conversion you want. The rate is displayed to the right of the screen. 3. T ap 0-9 and . to enter the number you want. 4. T ap to change the direction of the conver- sion.
This organizer uses two CR-2032 lithium batteries. The battery on the left is the main battery and is the one that needs to be replaced when you see on the top row of the display . The battery on the right is a back-up battery . Change this once a year to guard against data loss.
Y ou can lock your organizer so that only the Clock, Calculator and Converter can be used without sup- plying the password. Note : Y ou do not need to set a password to use this organizer . W arning ! Please keep written records of your data. If you forget your password, you will not be able to recover any of the data stored in your organizer .
T ap your password and tap ENTER . If you enter the wrong password, “OPEN ERROR” is displayed on the screen and you are again prompted to enter your password. Once you enter the correct password, you can enter new data or view existing data. Changing or Deactivating the Password 1.
