Important Notes: • Y our new battery must be charged for at least 18 hours before you use it in your vehicle for the first time. • We recommend that y ou star t charging your battery bef ore beginning assembly of y our ne w v ehicle.
• Plug the charger into a standard 120 volt wall outlet. Note: If power flo w to the w all outlet is controlled by a s witch, make sure the s witch is “ON”. • Before first-time use, charge the battery f or at least 18 hours. Ne v er charge the battery longer than 30 hours.
Please Note: If the axle/linkage assembly has detached from the v ehicle body during shipment, please fit it back onto the f ork on the front of the vehicle body . Make sure the center axle is tow ard the rear of the v ehicle (see inset). • T ur n the vehicle body upside down.
10 7 • P osition the handlebar upright. • Fit a handgr ip onto one end of the handlebar . Helpful Hint: If the handgrip is difficult to slide onto the handlebar , moisten the handgrip with war m water bef ore fitting it onto the handlebar . • Repeat this procedure to fit the other handgrip onto the handlebar .
Main Wire Harness Connector • Inser t the wire connector on the main wire harness through the large opening in the center of the vehicle body . • Plug the main wire har ness connector and the handlebar wire harness connector together . • T ur n the vehicle body on its side.
• Using a Phillips screwdriver to steady the scre w and pliers to grip the lock n ut, continue to tighten the bolt and lock n ut on each f ootrest. 12 Back T abs Grille • P osition the vehicle body upright. • Fit the front tabs on the grille into the slots in the front of the v ehicle body .
LOCKED POSITION 13 Please Note: If you ha v e already charged your P ower Wheels ® battery for at least 18 hours, y ou ma y want to install the battery in the batter y compar tment bef ore assembling the seat to y our v ehicle. Please ref er to the Batter y Installation section beginning on page 15 f or instructions.
1 14 Proper label application will help to keep the labels looking their best! K eep the f ollo wing guidelines in mind when applying the labels: • Wash y our hands bef ore applying the labels . • Before applying the labels, wipe the surf ace of the vehicle with a clean, dry cloth to remov e any dust or oils .
• P osition the batter y retainer ov er the batter y with the ends of the batter y retainer aligned with the screw holes in the vehicle body . • Inser t two #10 x 7 / 8 screws through the ends of the bat- ter y retainer and into the vehicle body .
If a battery leak develops, av oid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged batter y in a plastic bag. See inf ormation below for proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or ey es, flush with cool water f or at least 15 min utes and call a ph ysician.
10 ° Incline should never be more than 10° 5. Do not operate this v ehicle with more than one rider , seated on the seating area. A child who is not sitting on the seat or who is standing on the v ehicle could f all off , cause a tip-ov er or b lock the driv er’ s view .

Problem Possible Cause Solution V ehicle does not run Undercharged battery Charge the battery . A new batter y should have been charged for at least 18 hours before using the vehicle for the first time. After first-time use, recharge the battery for at least 14 hours after each use.
V ehicle was running but Loose wire or loose connectors Check all wir es and connectors. Make sure the battery suddenly stopped connector is tightly plugged into the motor harness connector , and that there are no loose wires ar ound the motors.
Problem Possible Cause Solution V ehicle runs sluggishly Undercharged battery Charge the batter y . A new battery should have been charged for at least 18 hours before using the vehicle for the first time. After first-time use, recharge the battery for at least 14 hours after each use.
Problem Possible Cause Solution V ehicle constantly blows fuses Wrong type of fuse used Y our vehicle requires a Power Wheels ® 25 amp fuse in the battery . Make sure the Power Wheels ® 25 amp fuse is properly installed. For best performance, do not use substitute parts.
