CA UTION Use the charger in dr y locations only . Battery Charging E • The batter y must be handled b y adults only . The batter y is heavy and contains sulfuric acid (electrolyte). Dropping the batter y could result in serious injur y . • Ne ver allo w children to charge the batter y .
Battery Charging Pb • Plug the charger connector into the battery . • Plug the charger into a standard 120 v olt wall outlet . Note: If power flo w to the wall outlet is controlled b y a s witch, make sure the s witch is “ON”. • Bef ore first-time use, charge the batter y for at least 18 hours.
10 Assembly Do not omit an y steps. Please set aside at least 90 minutes f or assembl y . F 1 • P osition the v ehicle body on a flat surface. • Snap the ke y assembly and knobs into the v ehicle body .
Door Hinge Door Hinge Door Left Roll Cage Door • Fit the slots on the door hinge onto the tabs on the bot- tom of the door . • Rotate the hinge up to enclose the cross suppor t. 5 • Inser t two #8 x 1 / 2 " screws through the holes in the door hinge.
12 8 • Place the right side of the roll cage on a flat surface with the inside f acing up. • Inser t two #8 x 3 / 4 " screws into the right roll cage. Please Note: Eight roll cage screws hav e been f actor y assembled. • Tighten the screws with a Phillips scre wdriver .
13 Assembly Left Roll Cage Right Roll Cage Roll Cage Crossbar Please Note: It is easiest to assemble the roll cage by positioning the par ts upside down as shown. • Fit the straight ends of the left and right roll cages into the connector posts on the light rac k.
Important Notes: • The front axles hav e been placed in the motors f or shipment. Be sure to remov e the front axles from the motors bef ore proceeding with assembly . • Note the position of the motors Y ou will be temp- orarily removing the motors from the v ehicle body to attach the roll cage assembly .
15 Rear (Large) Wheel He x Bushing Hubcap Driver Rear Axle • Slide a rear wheel onto the rear axle. Make sure that the ribs on the wheel fit into the notches in the dr iv er . • Slide a he x bushing (barrel side first) onto the rear axle and into the center of the wheel.
16 • F rom the underside of the vehicle body and with the steering linkage (bottom bar) closest to the front of the v ehicle body , fit the front axle legs up through the holes in the vehicle body floor . • Fit a .437 cap nut on the end of each front axle .
17 • P osition the v ehicle on its side. • Fit the f or ked tab on the brush guard between the steer- ing linkage assembly and v ehicle body so that the holes in the brush guard are aligned with the holes in the steering bar .
18 Assembly • Inser t the straight end of the steering column up through the square opening in the v ehicle body . • Fit the cur ved end of the steering column into the hole in the steering linkage assembly . The steer ing column fits snugly into the slot in the brushguard tab .
19 • While holding the steering column in place, position the vehicle body upright. • Push up on the end of the steering column to center it in the v ehicle body opening. • Fit the steering wheel collar ov er the end of the steer ing column and press the collar into the opening in the vehicle body .
20 • Fit the looped end of the batter y retainer into the square slot tow ards the rear of the batter y compar tment. • Slide the batter y retainer to the right to capture the looped end. • Squeeze the battery retainer ar ms together and fit them into the slots behind the seat.
21 • Plug the motor harness connector into the batter y . Motor Harness Connector 32 Assembly T op View Please Note: The seat can be assemb led in any one of three positions f or your child’ s comfor t. • Deter mine in which position to assemble the seat.
22 Assembly Decorativ e Engine F ront T ab Slots 34 Decorativ e Engine Rear Ta b Rear Ta b Slot Slot 35 • With the decorativ e engine positioned as shown, fit the decorativ e engine ov er the batter ies. • Fit the tabs on the front of the decorativ e engine into the slots behind the seat.

Battery Care and Disposal If a battery leak develops, av oid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged batter y in a plastic bag. See inf or mation below f or proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or ey es, flush with cool water f or at least 15 minutes and call a ph ysician.

Caring For Y our V ehicle 27 K • Check all n uts, bolts, and their protectiv e cov er ings regu- larly and tighten as required. Check plastic par ts on a regular basis f or cracks or brok en pieces. • During snowy or rain y weather , the vehicle should be stored inside or under a protectiv e cover .

A new batter y should have been charged for at least 18 hours before using the vehicle for the first time. After first-time use, recharge the battery for at least 14 hours after each use.
