8 W ARNING • The batter y m ust be handled by adults only . The batter y is heavy and contains sulfuric acid (electrolyte). Dropping the batter y could result in serious injur y . • Nev er allo w children to charge the batter y . Batter y charging must be done b y adults only .
® • Plug the charger into a standard wall outlet. Note: If power flo w to the w all outlet is controlled by a s witch, make sure the s witch is “ON”. • Before first-time use, charge the battery f or at least 18 hours. Ne ver charge the batter y longer than 30 hours.
• P osition the vehicle body on its side. • Fit the straight end of the steering column up through the square opening in the v ehicle body and out through the large round hole in the dash. Make sure the steer- ing column is positioned between the guides on the underside of the vehic le body .
11 7 • Using saf ety scissors, separate the activity panel and the instrument panel. Dispose of the plastic connector . • Apply labels 23 and 28 to the radio dial.
• Rotate the top of the windshield tow ard the front of the vehicle body . • Inser t four #8 x 1 ” scre ws through the holes in the front of the windshield and into the v ehicle body . Windshield Slot • Fit the tabs on the back of the windshield into the slots in the dash.
13 Hood Grille • Raise the hood. • Fit the tabs at the bottom of the grille into the slots in the vehicle body . • Press near the top of the grille to snap it into the vehicle body . 16 Radiator Sheet Grille V ehicle Body • Slide the radiator sheet behind the grille.
14 • Align the tips of the screws with the holes in the other half of the spor t bar cov er and fit the two spor t bar cov er halves together . • Tighten the screws with a Phillips scre wdriver .
15 • T ur n the v ehicle on its side. • Fit a traction band around a wheel. • Slide a slotted screwdriv er under the traction band to push the traction band onto the ridge in the center of the wheel. Helpful Hint: If the traction band is difficult to fit around the wheel, you ma y want to soak it in warm water to soft- en it slightly .
® • Lift the hood. • Place the batter y in the batter y compar tment. Make sure that the batter y connector e xtends tow ard the motor har- ness connector . Batter y Motor Harness Connector Hood Batter y Connector 1 ® • Squeeze the tabs on each side of the motor harness connector .
If a battery leak develops, av oid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged batter y in a plastic bag. See inf ormation below for proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or ey es, flush with cool water f or at least 15 minutes and call a physician.
10 ° Incline should never be more than 10° 5. Do not operate this v ehicle with more than one rider , seated on the seating area. A child who is not sitting on the seat or who is standing on the v ehicle could f all off , cause a tip-ov er or b lock the driv er ’ s view .
How to Operate Y our V ehicle How to Operate Y our V ehicle 19 J T o Drive • Push the top button (FWD) on the FOR W ARD/REVERSE switch to set the v ehicle to drive f orward . • Press down on the f oot pedal . The vehicle will go f orward at a maxim um of 2 1 / 2 mph .
Problem Possible Cause Solution V ehicle does not run Undercharged battery Charge the battery . A new batter y should have been charged for at least 18 hours before using the vehicle for the first time. After first-time use, recharge the battery for at least 14 hours after each use.
V ehicle was running but Loose wire or loose connectors Check all wir es and connectors. Make sure the battery suddenly stopped connector is tightly plugged into the motor harness connector , and that there are no loose wires ar ound the motors.

Problem Possible Cause Solution V ehicle constantly blows fuses Wrong type of fuse used Y our vehicle requires a Power Wheels ® 25 amp fuse in the battery . Make sure the Power Wheels ® 25 amp fuse is properly installed. For best performance, do not use substitute parts.
