2 General safety Never place your machine on a carpet c overed floor . A lack of air flow from beneath y our machine may cause electrical par ts to overheat. Secure the drain hose into the standpipe or tub to pr event any wa ter leakage and to allow machine to discharge wat er as required.
3 Safety instructions Y ou must remove the safety bolts (on the back panel) and the packing reinforc ement (underneath the machine) before use . This appliance must be connected to an earthed outlet protected by a fuse of suitable capacity .
4 Installation instructions Remove the packaging Remove the packaging reinfor cement underneath the product by tilting the machine and pulling the extruding ribbon. Not doing so may cause damage to your floor during normal operation of the machine.
5 Installation instructions Adjusting the f eet In order for quiet and stable operation, the machine should be plac ed properly and levelled on its feet. If the machine is unstable: 1 Loosen the plastic lock nut. 2 Screw or unscrew the adjustable foot un til the machine stands firmly level.
6 Installation instructions Inlet hoses Impor tant! The appliance must be connected to the c old water mains using the new hose supplied . Old hoses should not be reused. Connecting the hose: 1 Connect the straight end of the inlet hose to the tap .
7 Installation instructions Connecting to the drain The water drain hose should be plac ed either at the side of a basin or tub, or connected dir ectly to the wastewat er standpipe. The elbow/guide, supplied with the machine , should be fitted to the drain hose bef ore being connected directly into the tub or wastewat er standpipe.
8 Preparing clothes f or washing Always f ollow the advice on the garment care label. It will tell you about the fabric of the garment and how it should be washed. Sor t the laundry according to type of fabric, colour , degree of soiling, and allo wable water tempera ture.
9 Detergents and softeners Detergent dr awer The detergent dr awer is composed of three main c ompar tments: – (I) for prewash – (II) for main wash – (III) siphon – ( ) for softener Fig .5 Detergent drawer compartments Detergent , softener and other cleaning agents Add detergen t and softener before starting the wash programme.

11 Prog ramme should be selected depending on the type of fabric, colour , degree of soiling and permissible water temperatur e for the load. The following table serves as a guide for making your decision.

13 Spin speed selection Whenever a new prog ramme is selected, the maximum spin speed of the selected programme is displayed on the spin speed indicat or . T o decrease the spin speed, press the SPIN button. The spin speed decreases gradually , then the RINSE HOLD and NO SPIN options are shown respectively .

15 Selec ting a progr amme and operating y our machine Changing the selections af ter the prog ramme has started T ur ning the progr amme knob while the programme is in operation will not change the programme . The progr amme needs to be paused or cancelled before changes can be made .
16 Selec ting a progr amme and operating y our machine Child-proof lock Y ou can protect the appliance from being tampered by activating the child-proof lock. When activated, no change can be made to the pr ogramme running. T o ac tivate the child-pr oof lock: 1 Press the 1st and 2nd additional function buttons f or 3 seconds.
17 Detergent dr awer Remove any po wder residue buildup in the draw er . Note: if more than a normal amount of wat er and softener mixture star ts to gather in the softener compartment, the siphon must be cleaned. T o remove and clean the detergen t drawer and siphon: 1 Open the detergent dra wer .
18 Car e and cleaning T o clean the filter at the machine end: 1 T ur n off the tap . 2 Disconnect the hose. 3 Clean the filter with a thin brush. If the filter is very dir ty , you may clean it by pulling it out with pliers (remember to refit the filt er after cleaning).
19 T o clean the filter and discharge the wat er: 1 Unplug the machine to cut off the supply power . 2 T o prevent water from leaking onto your floor pull the machine out fr om the wall, tip the machine back and place solid 100mm tall objects under both feet of the machine to ensure that the machine does not fall on to you.
