7 DISHW ASHER LO ADING Loading Sugg estions ■ Remove leftover food, bones, toothpicks and other hard items from the dishes . It is not nece ssary to rinse the dishes befor e pu tting the m into the dishwas her .
8 Lo ading Bottom Rack The bottom rack is des igned for plate s, pans, casse roles, and utensils. Items with cooked-on or dried-on food should be loaded with soil ed surfaces faci ng inward to the sp ray . (See recommended loading pat tern s shown.) NOTE : The features on your dishwasher rack may va ry from the drawings shown.
9 DISHW ASHER USE Detergent D ispenser The det ergent dispenser has 2 sec tions. The P re-W ash sect ion empties de tergent into the di shwasher wh en you close t he door . The larger Main W ash section automat ically empt ies detergent into t he dish washer during th e main wash.
10 Rinse Aid Dispenser Rinse aids prevent water from forming drople ts that can d ry as spot s or st reak s. They also i mpro ve dry ing by allowing water to drain off of the dishes d uring the final rinse by releasin g a small amount of the rin se aid in to the rinse wa ter .
11 Cy c le Selection Charts Selec t the wash cycle. If the door is latch ed, you will hear t he dishwash er start and s top as the cycl e control knob tur ns. This is normal and doe s not hurt the di shwasher . If you prefer , you can set the cy cle control knob with th e door unlatched.
12 W ASHING S PECIAL ITEMS If you have doubts about washing a partic ular item, check w ith the manufac turer to see if it is d ishwasher safe. Material Dishwasher Safe?/Comments Alumi num Ye s High water temp erature and detergents can affect finish of an odized alumin um.
13 DISHW ASHER CARE Cleaning Cleaning the exterior In most case s, regular use of a soft, d amp cloth or s ponge and a mild d eter gent is all that is neces sary to keep t he outs ide of your dishwash er looking nice and cl ean. If your di shwasher has a stainles s steel exterior , a stai nless stee l cleaner is recommended.
