3 RANGE SAFETY The Anti-Tip Brack et The range w ill not tip during normal u se. However , the range can tip if you apply too much for ce or w eight to the ope n door wit ho ut t he anti-tip bracket fastened down properly . You can be killed or seriously injured if you don't immediately follow instructions.

5 ■ Keep Oven V ent Ducts Unobstructed. ■ Placement of Oven Racks – Always place oven racks in desired location while oven is cool. If rack must be moved while oven is hot, do not let potholder contact hot heating element in oven.

7 COOKTO P USE Cooktop Controls The contro l knobs can be set anywher e between HI and LO. Push in and turn to setting. On some models, the surface cook ing area locator shows which element is turned on. Use the following chart as a guide when setting heat levels.
8 Hot Surface Indicator Light (under ceramic glass) The hot surface indicator light will glow as long as an y su rface cooking ar ea is too hot to touch, even after the surf ace cooking area(s) is turn e d off. Home Canning When canning for long periods, alternate the use of surface cooking ar eas, elements or surface burners between batch es.
9 ELECTR ONIC OV EN CONTR OL Ov en Indicator Lights The indicator lights are located along all four sides of the display . The indicator lights light up or flash when the oven is in one of th e follow.
10 Control Loc k The Contr ol Lock s huts d own t he cont ro l pane l pad s to pr eve nt unintended use of the ov en. When the contro l is locked, only th e CLOCK and TIMER pads will function. T o Lock/Unlock Cont r ol: Befor e locking, make sure the oven and Timer ar e off.
11 BAKEWARE T o cook food evenly , hot air must be able to circulate. Allow 2 in. (5 cm) of space around bakewa re and oven walls. Use the following chart as a guide. Bak e w are The bakewar e material af fects coo king results. Fo llow manufactur er ’ s recommen dations and use the bakeware size reco mmended in the r ecipe.
12 Baking and Roasting Be fore b aki ng a nd roa sti ng, position racks accor ding to the “ Positioning Racks and Bakewar e ” section. When roasting, it is not necessary to wait for the oven preheat conditioning time to end before pu tting food in un less r ecommended in the recipe.
13 BROILING CHART For best results, place food 3 in. (7 cm) or more fr om the broil element. Times ar e guidelines o nly and may need t o be adjusted for individual foods and tastes. Recommended rack positions are number ed from the botto m (1) to the top (5).
14 CONVECTION ROASTING CHART Con v ection Broiling During convection br oiling, the br oil element cycles on an d off in intervals to ma intain the oven temperature , while the fan constantly circulates the hot air .
15 Timed Cooking Timed Cooking allows the oven to be set to turn on at a certain time of day , cook for a set length of time, and/or shut off automatically . Delay start should n ot be used for food such as breads and cakes because they m ay not bake pr operly .
16 How the Cy cle W orks IMPOR T ANT : The heating and cooling of por celain on steel in the oven may result in dis coloring, loss of gl o ss, h a irline cr ac ks and popping sounds. The Self-Cleaning cycle uses very high temperatures, burning soil to a powdery ash.
17 CONTROL P ANEL Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel-wool pads, gritty washcloths or some paper towels . Damage may occu r . ■ Glass cleaner an d soft cloth or sponge: Apply glass cleaner to soft cloth or sponge, not dir ectly on panel. OVEN CA VITY Do not use oven cleaners.
