System Description 1 1.0 S YSTEM D ESCRIPTION The Liebert XD™ family of cooling units delivers efficient, sensible cooling to high-heat environ- ments. Liebert XD systems are desi gned to cool computer racks and hot zones in a data center or com- puter room without taking up expensiv e floor space for co olin g components.

Designing a Li ebert XD Solution 14 3.3 Selecting Liebert XD Cooling Modules The next step is to select the Li ebert XD coo ling modules to be con figured into the solution. Liebert XD modules that use pumped refrigerant can be co nnected to the same Liebert XDP/Liebert XDC pip- ing circuit.

The amo unt of refrigerant used by the Liebert XD system may be signi fi- cantly higher than in typical DX coo ling systems.

All pi ping should be in stalled with high te mperature brazed joints.
