4 Plastics All plastics are vulnerable to heat, although some will withstand higher temperatures than others. K eep all plastics a w a y from par ts of the range which ma y become slightl y more than w ar m w hen the range is in operation. Self-Cleaning Ov en The door gasket is essential for a good seal.
Mobile Home Installation The installation of this range must conform to the Manufactured Home Constr uction and Safety Standards, T itle 24 CFR. P ar t 3280 (formerly the F ederal Standard for Mobile .
6 Location If possible, the range should be located to a void the main “traf f ic path” through the kitchen or where an open door might block a passage w a y or create an a wkward w orking situation. If possible, it should be so located w here cabinet w orking space is a vailab le on either side.
ELECTRIC COOKT OP Surface Elements Contr ols Contr ol knobs m ust be pushed in bef or e turning them to a setting. The y can be set an ywhere betw een MAX and MIN . The controls for the surface elements pro vide inf inite heat settings. The numbers on the dial serve as a reference.

10 T op Bur ners Y our gas range is equipped with “state of the art” “Sealed Gas Burners” and an “ Auto-Reignition System”. The sealed gas burners spread the heat evenl y across the bottom of the cooking utensil and pro vide inf inite heat control.
NO TE: If a gas burner burns with an uneven or ange flame, r eposition the burner cap so it sits flat on the burner housing. If burner lights slo wly , have your gas service person c heck the g as pr essur e to the appliance. If a top burner flame has been adjusted too low , the electr onic ignitor may start to spark.

14 If the “lo w” flame needs to be adjusted: Standard Burner Adjustment The flame can be adjusted using the adjustment scre w in the center of the v alve stem. The valv e stem is located directl y underneath the control knob. 1. Remo ve the control knob .
BAKE OR BROIL T urn Selector switch to bake or broil. Set oven thermostat to desired temperature. Preheating oven on bake normally takes about 15 minutes, indicator cycle light will go out when oven has reached temperature. The Broiler takes about 3 minutes to preheat.
16 By turning exhaust fan on while self-cleaning most smoke and odor in kitchen will be eliminated. A utomatic Door Lock As soon as you pro gram the o v en for the self-cleaning function, the door will automaticall y lock. It will remain locked throughout the entire c ycle.

Roasting tips • Roast meats fat-side up in a shallo w pan using a roasting rack. • Use a r oasting pan that f its the size of the food to be roasted. Meat juices ma y o verflo w the sides of a pan that is too small. T oo large of a pan will result in increased o ver spatter .
20 NO TE: Opening the oven door will cause heat loss, longer cooking times and unsatisfactory baking or r oasting results. Rel y on your timer . Ov en Rack P ositions Y our o ven has f iv e rack positions. Rack position 1 is the lo w est position, or closest to the bottom of the o ven.
