English 4. ADJUSTMENT 21 4. ADJUSTMENT 4-1. Screen Adjustment Screen adjustments for the LCD monitor should be used in suppressing screen flickering and al so for adjust ing the screen to its p roper position. There is only one correct position f or each display mode.
English 22 4. ADJUSTMENT 2. Run the “Screen adjustment pr ogram”. Having read the “Readme.tx t” file, run the “Screen ad justment program” in the enclosed EIZO LCD Ut ility Disk. Step b y step, adjustme nt is provided by the wizard guide. ( If using the W indows, the program can be direct ly run from the menu screen of the CD-ROM.

Select the <Phase> and el iminate th e horizontal flicke ring, blurring or bars by using the Right and Left butt ons. NO TE z Hori zontal bars may not completely disappear fr om the scre en depending on the PC .
English 24 4. ADJUSTMENT 5. T o smooth the blurred te xts of the enlar ged screen of the lo wer resolutions. → Switch the <Smoothing> setti ng. Select the suitable level from 1 - 5 (Soft - Sharp). Select <Smoothing> in the <Screen> menu and adju st by using the Right and Left buttons.

English 38 9. GLOSSARY 9. GLOSSAR Y Cloc k With th e analog input signal di splay , the analog signal is conv erted to a digital signal by the LCD circuitry . T o convert the signal correctly , the LCD monitor needs to produce the same number clock pulse as the dot clock of the graphics system.
