- 3 - 1.2 Getting to Know Your Camera Front View Internal Microphone allows the camera to receive sound and voice. LED Indicators : Power (left, steady amber light) indicates the camera is pow ered on. Link (right, flashing green ligh t) indicates the camera’s netwo rk connectivity.

- 7 - C H A P T E R 2 H A R D W A R E I N S TA L L A T I O N 2.1 Installing the Wall Mount Kit The cam era comes with a W all Mount Kit, which a llows you to place your cam era anywhere b y mounting the cam era through the thr ee screw ho les locate d in the bas e of the W all Mount Kit.
- 8 - 2.2 Connecting the Camera to LAN/WLA N Use the prov ided Ether net cable to con nect the cam era to your local are a network (LAN). W hen you connect the AC power a dapter, the c amera is po wered on autom atically. You can v erify the power status from the Power LED on the front pane l of the cam era.

Create an a dmin pass word and enter into Admin Passw ord and Confirm Password . It is suggeste d to change th e admin’s p assword to protect your privacy.
- 15 - Step 10 You ma y simply accept th e suggested default s etting DHCP if your router’ s DHCP server is enabled, so t he router will autom atically assign a dynam ic IP address to your camer a. Another o ption is to select Stat ic IP, t he IP ad dress you configure m ust match with your loca l networ k setting.
- 16 - Step 11 If you would l ike to set up em ail alerts tha t you can r eceive in the future, P lease enter your em ail inform ation here. You can get this i nform ation from your Email service pr ovider. I f y ou want t o set this up at a later tim e, click Next .

- 22 - Basic >> Da te & Time Date & Tim e - TimeZo ne: Select the pr oper tim e zone for the re gion from the pull-do wn menu. - Synchroniz e with PC: Select this option and the date & t ime settings of the cam era will be synchroni zed with the c onnected com puter.

- 24 - 4.2 Network Settings The Net work menu c ontains three s ub-menus that provide t he network settings f or the cam era, such as the IP Sett ing, DDNS Setting, and I P Filter. Network >> Netw ork IP Setting This item allows you to select the I P address m ode and s et up the related c onfigur ation.

- 26 - Network >> IP Filter The IP Filter s etting allo ws the adm inistrator of the cam era to limit the user s withi n a certain ra nge of IP addresses to access the cam era. Disable: Se lect this opti on to disable th e IP Filter f unction of the cam era.
- 27 - Network >> Wi reless Setting The cam era supports W LAN while you use the w ireless network. Selec t the Enable op tion to en able this feature. The cam era supports W ireless f eature that can co nnect to your wireless network. Se lect the Enable option to e nable this feat ure.
- 28 - - Encryption : Select the W EP option to enable the d ata encr yption feature t o secure the cam era within the w ireless net work. - Format: O nce you ena ble the Enc ryption feature, you need to determ ine the encr yption form at by selecting ASCII or HEX .

- 32 - Video & A udio >> Video MPEG4 - Video Resolu tion: Select t he desired video resol ution fr om the three form ats: VGA , Q VG A and QQVG A . The higher sett ing (VGA) obta ins better video qual ity while it uses mor e resource within your networ k.
- 33 - Video & A udio >> A udio Camera M icrophone In Select the En able opt ion to enable the cam era’s audio f unction, so tha t you can r eceive the on- site sound and voice from the cam era.
- 34 - 4.5 Event Server The Event Server m enu contains three sub-m enus that allo w you to up load image s to FTP, s end emails that include st ill images, a nd store video clips, s end still im ages to a NA S (network attached s torage) device.

- 41 - 4.8 Tools The T ools menu provid es the com mands that allow you to r estart or r eset the ca mera. You can a lso backup and r estore your configurati on, and up grade the f irmware for the cam era. Factory Reset Click Reset to restore a ll factor y default settings for the cam era.
