Preheat the machine as described in the ‘Preheating the Coffee Machine’ section, attaching the coffee filter holder with 1 cup or pod filter to the unit. This pr ocedure ensur es that the coffee is deliver ed at a hotter temperature and that the seal of the hold- er is more eff ective.

Coffee Mak er 10 PR OBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSES SOLUTION Prob lem solving Espresso coffee no long er comes out. • Lack of water in the tank. • The holes in the filter holder are block ed. • The outlet of the espres- so boiler is blocked. • The tank is badly inserted and the valve at the bot- tom is not open.
Coffee Mak er 11 PR OBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSES SOLUTION The coffee crema is dark (the coffee comes out slowly fr om the spout). • The ground coff ee is too tightly pressed. • The quantity of ground coffee is too much. • The espresso boiler out- let is blocked.
