Using CDs, DVDs, and Other Multimedia 51 Using CDs, DVDs, and Other Multimedia Playing CDs or DVDs NOTICE: Do not press down on the CD or DVD tray when you open or close it. Keep the tray closed when you are not using the drive. NOTICE: Do not move the computer when you are playing CDs or DVDs.

56 Using CDs, DVDs, and Other Multimedia • Do not burn a blank CD-R or CD-R W to its maxi mum capacity; for e xample, do not copy a 650-MB file to a blank 650-MB CD. The CD-R W drive need s 1–2 MB of the blank space to finalize the recor ding. • Use a blank CD-R W to practice CD recording until you ar e familiar with CD recording techniques.

98 T roubleshooting M EMORY ALLOCATION ERROR — The software you ar e attempting to run is conflicting with the operating system, another program, or a utility . Shut down the computer , wait 30 seconds, and then r estart it. T ry to run the program again.
