NOTICE: If your computer has an expansion ca rd installed (such as a modem ca rd), connect the appropriate cable to the card, not to the connector on the back panel.

Quick Reference Guide 37 Beep Codes Y our computer might emit a series of beeps during start-up if t he monitor cannot display errors or problems. This series of beeps, called a beep code, identifies a problem. One possible beep code (code 1-3-1) consists of one beep, a burst of three b eeps, and then one beep.
