FMU Console can connect to a single server and configure individual termi- nals. Y ou can cr eate groups within that server and assign as many terminals as desired to those groups.

FMU Operation 26 Falcon ® Management Utility (FMU) Adding a Server If you installed the complete system, you do not need to specify the initial ser ver information. D uring a complete install, a local ser ver is automatically created for you. A dd itional servers can be added after installation.

Working with Groups User’s Manual 29 Working with Groups A Group is a defined set of terminals associated with a specific function, i.e. picking, receiving, etc. S ee “Groups ” on page 16 for more information. A Default G roup is created with each server installation.

All pack- ages that are available to the selected gr oup will appear . To assign packages: 1. Select the group or package to which y ou want to assign a package.

See “Enabling a T e rminal for FMU with D irect Connect” on page 50 and “E nabling T erminals for RF Connectivity ” on page 52 for detailed information.

User’s Ma nual 49 Chapter 5 Terminal to FMU Server Communications Overview P r ior to installing FMU for the first time, you should set up terminals to com- municate with FMU. This requires the completion of two steps: 1. Establish communication from the terminal(s) to the host computer .
