IMPORTANT: This unit is shipped without gasoline or oil in the engine. Be certain to service enginewithgasoline and oil as instructedin the Operation section before starting or runningyour machine. NOTE: Reference to right and left hand side of the Lawn Moweris observed from the operating position.

GAS AND OIL FILL-UP Oil (one bottle shipped with unit) First Time Use 1. Remove oil fill dipstick. 2. Withthe lawn mower on level ground, use a funnel to empty entire contents of oil bottle provided into the engine. 3. Replace oil fill dipstickand tighten.
TO STOP ENGINE f 1. Releasebladecontrolto stop the engineand blade. 2. Disconnect sparkplug wire and groundit to the retaining post to ,--__5./ prevent accidental starting while the equipment is unattended. Waitfor the bladeto stopcompletely before performing any work on the mower or to remove the side discharge chute.
Always stop engine, disconnect spark plug wire, and ground against enginebefore performing any type of maintenance on your machine. GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS • Always observesafetyrules when performing any maintenance. • The warranty on this lawn mowerdoes not coveritems that have been subjected to operator abuse or negligence.
Check Engine Oil Check oil level before each operation. Be sure oil level is maintained. 1. Remove oil fill dipstickand wipe clean with cloth. 2. Replacedipstickwithout screwing it in. Remove and check oil level.Level should be at FULLmark. 3. If needed, add oil slowJy-recheck.
LUBRiCATiON lAIways stopengine, spark plug, groundagainst disconnect and enginebefore performing any type of maintenance on your machine. Blade Control Lubricate pivot pointson the bladecontrolat least once a seasonwith light oil. The bladecontrolmust operate freely in both directions.
ADJUSTING SHIFT LEVER CABLE Periodic adjustment of the six speed shift cable maybe necessary due to normal wear on the cable.Adjustment is neededif all six speedsdo not work. The adjustable cable bracket is locatedon the left side of the mowerbeside the engine.
REPLACING BATTERY Batteries containsulfuric acid whichmay causeburns. Do not short I circuit or mutilate batteries in any way. Do not put batteries in fire as _these may burst or release toxic materials. 1. Loosen star knobs securing upper and lower handles and carefully fold the upper handledown towardthe lower handleas shown in Figure 19.
IMPORTANT: Always plug charger lead into battery packlead first, and then insert battery charger plug into 120volt standardhousehold outlet. Followthis orderof action everytime you charge the battery. Use only the battery charger supplied with this mower.
Neverstorelawn mowerwith fuel in tank indoors or in poorly ventilated areas where fuel fumes may reach an openflame, spark, or pilot light as on a furnace, water heater, clothes dryer,or gas appliance. PREPARING THE ENGINE Equipment storedwith fuel can becomestale when storedover 30 days.

Arrancador el_ctrico: Gire la Ilave de encendido a la derecha para arrancar el motor. Sueite la ilave apenas arranque el motor. Arrancador de retroceso: Tome la manija del arrancador y saque la cuerda lentamente hasta que el motor alcance ei comienzo del ciclo de compresi6n (la cuerda tirara, un poco ma.

Inspeccione el aceite del motor Controle el nivel de aceite antes del funcionamiento. Aseg_rese de que se mantenga el nivel de aceite. 1. Extraiga la variila de medici6n de aceite y sequela con un trapo. 2. Vuelva a colocar ia variiia de medici6nsin enroscarla.

AJUSTE DEL CABLE DE LA PALANCA DE CAiVIBIOS Puede set necesario realizar un ajuste peri6dico del cable de cambios de seis velocidades debido al desgaste normal del cable. El ajuste es necesario si las seis velocidades no funcionan bien. La mensula ajustable del cable se iocaliza sobre el lado izquierdo de la cortadora de cesped junto al motor.
CAIVIBIO DE LA BATERiA Las baterias contienen _cido sulfOrico que puede causar quernadu- ras. No ponga en corto cirouito ni rnutile las baterias de ninguna rnanera. No coloque las baterias sobre fuego dado que pueden _exp otar o ern t r mater a es t6x cos.
IMPORTANTE: Siempre conecte el conductor dei cargador en del paquete de baterias en primer iugar, y iuego inserte el enchufe del cargador de baterias en un tomacorriente residenciai estfindar de 120 voltios. Siga esta secuencia siempre que cargue la bateria.
