7 1 Introduc tion About DASt ape ® The D AStape provides an i nterconnection that is easy to install, configure, and use. It was des igned specif ically for the needs of direct-attached storage (D AS). The DA Stape 100 and D AStape 200 suppor t only single-ended or L VD SCS I tape drives .

Use an object with a sma ll pointed tip (su ch as a stylus or a pen) to p ress the plus (+) on the bottom or the minus (-) at the top to change the SCSI ID setting (Fig ure 2- 4). 3. Once the D AStape’ s SCSI ID setting is uni que from other devices on the SCSI bus, the D AStape is ready to use.
