8 – English GENERAL SAFETY PRECA UTIONS Vibration damping system Y our machine is equipped with a vibration damping system that is designed to reduce vibration and mak e operation easier . The machine ′ s vibration damping system reduces the transf er of vibration between the engine unit/cutting equipment and the machine ′ s handle unit.
English – 9 GENERAL SAFETY PRECA UTIONS Blades T o ensure good cutting results it is impor tant that the contact pressure between the b lades is correct. The contact pressure is adjusted by turning the screws on the underside of the bar clockwise as f ar as they will go .
10 – English FUEL HANDLING Fuel safety Ne ver start the machine: 1 If you ha ve spilled fuel on it. Wipe off the spillage and allow remaining fuel to e vapor ate. 2 If you ha ve spilled fuel on yourself or y our clothes, change your clothes . W ash any par t of your body that has come in contact with fuel.
English – 11 FUEL HANDLING Mixing • Alwa ys mix the gasoline and oil in a clean container intended f or fuel. • Alwa ys star t by filling half the amount of the gasoline to be used. Then add the entire amount of oil. Mix (shake) the fuel mixture.
12 – English ST AR TING AND ST OPPING Chec k bef ore star ting • Inspect the working area. Remov e any objects that could be thrown out. • Check the cutting attachment. Nev er use blades that are dull, crac ked or damaged. • Check that the machine is in perf ect working order .

14 – English W ORKING TECHNIQUES Safety instructions after completing w ork • The transpor t guard should alwa ys be fitted to the cutting attachment when the machine is not in use. • Make sure the cutting attachment has stopped bef ore cleaning, carr ying out repairs or an inspection.

16 – English MAINTENANCE Cooling system T o keep the working temperature as low as possib le the machine is equipped with a cooling system. The cooling system consists of: 1 Cooling fins on the cylinder . 2 Cylinder cov er (directs cold air over the cylinder).
English – 17 MAINTENANCE Gear There is a grease nipple and a plug f or filling lubr icant on the gear housing. Use a grease gun to fill with grease . This should be done after e very 60 working hours. Use Husqvarna’ s special grease. CA UTION! The gear housing must not be filled completely with grease.
