•P lace the front base on a flat surface. •P osition a fr ont leg so that the tapered end is downward, as shown. •W hile pressing the button on one of the front legs , insert it into the front base. Push do wn on the front leg until the button “s naps” into the hole in the front base.
Assemb ly 5 •P lace the rear base on a flat surface so that the buttons face the front base. •W hile pressing the buttons on each side of the rear base , fit the rear legs onto the rear base . Push the r ear legs down until the buttons on the rear base “s nap” into the holes in each rear leg .
Assemb ly 6 • Insert four M4 screws through the seat tubes, bracket and into the lock nuts. •T ighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriv er . Do not over-tighten. •R otate the seat tubes down. Seat Tu b e s 10 Bracket Seat T ubes 11 •P osition the br acket so that the tall end is toward the bottom edge of the seat.
Assemb ly 7 •W hile holding the seat wire in place , carefully turn the seat around so that the front faces y ou. •P osition the seat wir e cap so that the rounded edge is upright. •F it each end of the seat wir e through the hole in each seat wire cap .
Assemb ly 8 •F it the pock et on the back of the pad onto the seat back. •F it the waist belts through the smaller slots in the pad. Crotch Belt W aist Belts Pad 19 • Lift the bottom of the pad. • Insert the pad elastic loops through the holes in the seat bottom.
9 Assemb ly Batter y Installation and T ips Installation •L ocate the battery compartment door on the swing frame. • Insert a coin into the batter y compartment door and pr y the battery compar tment door off of the swing frame. • Insert four “D” (LR20) alkaline batteries as indicated inside the battery compar tment.
IMPORT ANT! Before each use , inspect this product for dam- aged hardware , loose joints, missing par ts or sharp edges. DO NO T use if any par ts are missing or broken. Contact F isher-Price® for replac ement par ts and instructions if needed. Never substitute parts.

Swing Modes 12 T he Smart Response Swing has two modes: Baby Sounds Activated and Pa ren t Ac ti vate d . Parent Activated IMPORT ANT! T he maximum weight limit f or this product is 24 lbs. If your child weighs less than 24 lbs ., but is really active and appears to be able to climb out of the swing , immediately discontinue its use .
Bab y Sounds Activ ated 13 Sound Sensitivity Dial •S lide the switch to high sensitivity f or incoming sounds (listens for shallow sounds). •S lide the switch to low sensitivity f or incoming sounds (listens only for loud sounds). Music/V olume Switch •S elect for music highest volume .
Pa r ent Activ ated 14 S wing Mode S witch •S lide the switch to parent activated .T he power L.E.D . lights and the swing begins swinging. •B e sure to turn the product off when not in use. Speed Dial •S elect any of five speed settings. Music/V olume Switch •S elect for music highest volume .
Car e Stor ag e •T urn the toybar back to it's st orage position. •P r ess the button on the inside of each housing and push the r ear legs toward the fr ont legs. Stand the frame against a wall for storage . To r emove the pad: •U nhook the four elastic hooks from the pegs on the seat back and bottom.
