Operating Instructions 10 Contr ol panel Pr ogram selector The pr ogram selector defines the natur e of the washing cycle (e.g. water level, drum movement, number of rinses, spin speed) to suit the type of washing, as well as the washing solution. OFF Switches the washing machine off, the machine is switched on at all other positions.
Operating Instructions 11 EASY -CARE S Main washing cycle for easy-care textiles (mixed fabrics) at 40 ° C to 60 ° C. EASY IRON position: Main washing cycle at 40 ° C for easy-car e fabr ics which, with the aid of this pr ogram, only r equire a gentle iron, if any ir oning at all.
Operating Instructions 12 Pr ogram option buttons The pr ogram options buttons ar e used to adapt the washing progr am to suit the degree of soiling of the washing. Progr am options are not r equir ed for normally soil ed washing. The differ ent functions can be combined together depending on the pr ogram.

They pr ovide a useful guide for opera tion in the home. What does UPDA TE mean? The contr ol system of your machine is fully electr onic.
Operating Instructions 14 Befor e the first wash 0 Run a wa shing cycl e witho ut washin g (CO TTO NS 95, with half the amount of detergent). This re moves any r esidues fr om the drum which may have been left during manufacturing .
Operating Instructions 15 W ashing Types and Car e Symbols The car e symbols help you chose the correct washing pr ogram. W ashing should be sorted according to type and car e symbo l. The temperatur es indicated in the car e symbols are the maximum temper atures.

Operating Instructions 17 Running a washing cycle Brief instructions A washing cycle consists of the following steps: 0 1. Set the corr ect washing pr ogram: – Select the progr am and temperatur e with the program selector . – Select any progr am options if requir ed.

Start the washing progr am: Pr ess the START / P AUSE button The washing pr ogram is started or starts at the end of the time delay set. 3 If the DOOR displ ay flashes red when the START / PAUSE button is pr essed, the door is not properly closed.
Operating Instructions 23 3 The counting down of the r emaining time may be stopped or corrected by the washing machine contr oller as a re sult of automatic adjustments to the pr ogram (amount of washing, washing type, imbalance detec- tion, special rinse cycle, etc.

Do not use ho usehold furniture polish or abrasive cleaners to clean panel and operating parts. 0 Wipe over the operating panels with a damp cloth. Use warm water . Deter g ent Dispenser Dr awer The deter gent dispenser drawer should be cleaned fr om time to time.

Operating Instructions 29 What to do if... T rouble Shooting If the appliance is not working correctly , please carry out the following checks befor e contacting your local AEG Service For ce Centre.
Operating Instructions 30 The washing machine vibrates duri ng opera- tion or is unstable. The machine is not level. Adjust the feet accor ding to the installation and connec- tion instructions. There is very little washing in the drum (e.g. on ly one dr essing gown).
Operating Instructions 31 Wa shing heavily cr eased Pr obably too much washing put in the drum. P ay attention to the maxi- mum load quantity (see Pr o- gr am tables). In the c ase of easy-car e fabrics, select the EASY IRON pr ogram. The washing is not suf- ficiently spun.
Operating Instructions 32 If the washing r esults ar e not sa tisfactory If the washing turns greyish and limescale deposits ar e pr esent in the drum • Insufficient detergent has been added. • Incorr ect deter gent was used. • Stains were not pre-tr eated.
Operating Instructions 33 Carrying out an emer gency emptying • If the washing machine no longer pumps out the water , emergency emptying must be carried out. • If the washing machine is located in a room in which below fr eezing temper atur es might occur , emer gency emptying must be carried o ut.

Installation and connection instructions 41 Levelling the Appliance Floor unevenness can be compensated for and the height can be cor- r ected with the four adjustable scr ew feet. The height can be adjusted in a r ange of +1 0 ... -5 mm. T o adjust the feet use the special spanner supplied.

The manufacturer declines any liability should these safety measures not be observed.

Installation and connection instructions 45 Inlet Hose Connection A pr essure hose of 1.35m in length is supplied. If a longer inflow hose is r equir ed, only a VDE-approved, complete set of hoses with fitted hose scr ew co nnections is permissible, available fr om AEG Service Force Centr es.
